Vidcaster WolfsGoRawr gives a great overview of what to watch out for during the fight, including staying too close to the edge which can lead to an insta-death when you get feared by the Mad King.
There is also footage on how to do some of the jumping puzzles in the instance, including the “bonus” content after defeating the Mad King leading to an extra loot chest.
How long will the Ascent to Madness dungeon last?
ArenaNet designer Anthony Ordon confirmed that “Yes, the Ascent to Madness instance (Act 3) will be available until the beginning of Act 4,” which is on October 31. Please not that the previously released schedule is no longer being followed.
Act 4, meanwhile, will last from October 31 to November 5 that will usher in a “spooky upgrade” wherein all Black Lion Chests opened during this period will have a chance at rewarding one of six exclusive Halloween-themed weapon skins. So if you’ve got stacks of Black Lion Chests in the bank, that will be the perfect time to crack them open.
