PC Gamer scored a hands-on of the Halloween update, Shadow of the Mad King, which goes live today. The video below shows staffer Tom S running around the event areas, throwing pumpkins which promptly explode on impact, and just seeing all the ghastly going-ons available this week.
We can’t wait to get our hands on the Halloween weapons, like that Moon shield and Spider bow which appear at around the 2:00 in the vid. ArenaNet also seems to have gone all out on the festive decorations; there are floating candles along the streets and cauldrons with sickly green brews in them that turn you into little monsters if you jump in them.
